Glass is the main feature of a window. It has to perform many important functions which in our product offering are covered through over 400 options.

Standards: Our standard window glass is a 1 inch, low E coated, insulated panel filled with Argon gas. We achieve R4 energy ratings with this glass. For doors and units where code requires tempered or laminated glass we offer a laminated (inside and outside), 1 inch, low E coated, insulated panel filled with Argon gas.

Security: For additional security we offer three levels of laminated glass from small missile impact rated to small arms resistant. In addition, we supply alarm webbing integrated into the glass as well as break detectors.

Energy Efficiency: For additional energy efficiency we offer triple insulated glass panels with Argon gas fills. The glass ratings range from a Ug value of 0.16 down to 0.09. We also have twenty tint options from colored tints to high efficiency solar glass. For coastal applications we also offer turtle glass. Please ask for our triple insulated glass prices because you will be surprised how little you have to invest to get a R6 rated window.

Noise Pollution: A critical issue in Europe, noise ratings for residential applications are gaining importance in the US. Our standard product has a 34 decibel rating installed. With five main glass options we can bring this rating to 48 decibels. For comparison, a 44 db rating cancels 99.8% of all exterior noise.

Hurricane Impact Glass: Henselstone offers small missile and large missile impact glass tested according to ASTM standards. This glass must be used in combination with tested window and door hardware and tested wall connections. Please specify your respective wind zone when requesting a quote for a hurricane product.  

Decorative and Art glass: In the Henselstone product line you have access to thousands of art glass options in two categories: One category is textured glass, where we offer fifty-two options. Milk glass and distorted glass fall into this classification. If you want changing features, Henselstone offers Plasma glass which changes from obscure to clear through the application of electricity. The second category is art glass. Art glass involves texture, color, lead divisions, molten glass, etched, sanded or otherwise treated glass. Please contact our sales department for specific examples or challenge us with your ideas.
